Ginger Beer Sorbet Recipe

Ginger Beer Sorbet Recipe

1 can ginger beer

1 tsp ground ginger

1 cup sugar

1/8 cup light corn syrup

4 limes

3 stems of mint

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of Ginger Beer (I recommend Bundaberg for its exceptional taste, but feel free to use your favorite)

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • Juice of 4 limes

  • Leaves from 3 stems of mint

  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger

  • 1/8 cup light corn syrup

Instructions:

  1. Mix: In a large bowl, combine the Ginger Beer, granulated sugar, lime juice, mint leaves, ground ginger, and corn syrup. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.

  2. Chill: Transfer the mixture to the refrigerator and let it chill thoroughly, about 1-2 hours. This step is crucial for a smooth sorbet texture.

  3. Churn: Once chilled, pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions. The sorbet is done when it's smooth and holds its shape.

  4. Freeze: Transfer the churned sorbet to a freezer-safe container and freeze until firm, usually about 2-4 hours.

  5. Serve: Scoop and serve your homemade Ginger Beer Sorbet as a refreshing dessert or a palate cleanser between courses.
